Michigan Council of Professional Investigators

The Michigan Council of Professional Investigators (MCPI) is an organizational network of investigators from across the State of Michigan.

MCPI remains Michigan’s premiere investigative network and collaborative platform for the top professional investigators in the state.  We strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethical conduct, and integrity amongst professional investigators, while encouraging networking, providing on-going training, and inspiring mutual assistance.  Furthermore, we actively monitor statutes, educate our members on legislative issues, and lobby against any legislature that may negatively and directly impact the professional investigation industry.

Our professional investigators specialize in an array of service offerings, including but not limited to: physical security, surveillance, fraud investigations, arson investigations, accident reconstruction, corporate investigations, litigation support, cyber security and digital forensics, domestic investigations, risk assessments, background checks, financial forensics, and expert testimony.  Additionally, many of our investigators and members maintain highly-esteemed credentials, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Legal Investigator (CLI), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), and Physical Security Professional (PSP), as well as credentials reserved for retired local, state, and federal law enforcement officials.

We encourage you to browse our website for various useful resources, professional investigators near you, upcoming events and trainings, and further information on MCPI, as well as how to join our state’s premiere investigative network!
